My Hero Academia Receives A Major Disappointing Update Before The End

Posted on November 11, 2025November 13, 2025 By heyshubhro@gmail.com No Comments on My Hero Academia Receives A Major Disappointing Update Before The End

My Hero Academia is one of the most beloved shonen anime series out there, and it’s consistently been one of the best anime of the last decade. With 8 seasons, My Hero Academia has delivered tremendous quality over the years, but now, it’s coming to an end. As far as the manga goes, My Hero Academia ended in 2024, and now, the anime is preparing to wrap up as well. My Hero Academia Season 8 is currently airing, and fans know very well that it will be the final season of the series. Fans were both excited and anxious about this final season, and quality-wise, it has definitely not disappointed so far. However, it is the length of the season that’s rather sad for all the fans of MHA.

My Hero Academia Confirms Its Shortest Season In A New Update

My Hero Academia’s anime has been ongoing for quite some time now. MHA Season 1 first came out in 2016, and since then, it’s been quite an enjoyable ride for the series. Now, 9 years later, the anime is finally nearing its end with My Hero Academia Season 8. Fans always knew My Hero Academia Season 8 would be short, mainly due to the lack of content to animate, with the manga having ended last year. However, not many fans expected it to be as short as it is.

Indeed, My Hero Academia Season 8 will only have 11 episodes. Many fans theorized this previously as another series was scheduled for MHA’s slot on December 20, but now, it’s officially confirmed. My Hero Academia Season 8 is officially the shortest season ever for the series, beating the record previously held by My Hero Academia Season 1, which had 13 episodes.

What’s Next for The MHA Series?

With My Hero Academia’s anime ending very soon, having just a few more episodes left, fans are wondering what the future holds for the franchise. The good news is, My Hero Academia will continue with its spin-off series, Vigilantes. While it features a new cast of characters for the most part, fans still have an exciting new season to look forward to. Vigilantes released its first season this year, and fans are excited for what will unfold in 2026.

Aside from that, there has also been some progress on the My Hero Academia live-action movie by Netflix, but it’s still in very early stages of production. Fans are rightfully averse to live-action anime content, but hopefully, MHA’s live-action beats the expectations.
